Agon and Leading Norwegian Television Network NRK Sign Long-Term Agreement
Agon and NRK, the leading Norwegian television network, entered a long-term agreement ensuring that major chess events, including the 2015 World Chess Rapid and Blitz championship, the Candidates Tournament and the 2016 Championship match will be available to NRK viewers.
NRK is the leading television network in Norway by number of viewers and has done pioneering work on bringing chess to TV. NRK is also a recipient of the 2014 FIDE media prize for excellence in covering chess.
FIDE and Agon are looking forward to watching excellent chess coverage on NRK. Agon is also working with other major TV networks around the world to make chess widely available to spectators.
