The Official World Chess Championship Book Released
The official 2014 World Chess Championship book is released by Agon Limited, the organizer of the Match, in cooperation with FIDE. A full-color hard cover volume with commentary by GM Peter Svidler and former New York Times chess columnist Dylan Loeb McClain is a detailed round-by-round overview of the exciting Match.
In November 2014, Magnus Carlsen undertook his first title defense since winning the championship the year before. His challenger was Viswanathan Anand, the former champion that Carlsen had dominated to gain the crown. Could and would history repeat itself? Or could the former champion score an upset and add another notch to his list of victories? Set against the site of the match venue of the Olympic Village in Sochi, Russia, this book offers round-by-round coverage with game analysis by one of the world's foremost players, GM Peter Svidler, and overviews by Dylan Loeb McClain, former chess columnist for the New York Times.
The book is going to be available on Amazon in May of 2015 as well as in the select stores around the world.
